Relationships are at the core of our everyday lives. We are involved in them from we get up in the morning until we go to bed at night. We have many relationships for example with parents, partner, family, friends, work colleagues, the list is endless. This programme will help us identify how to be the best I can be in a relationship and expect the best in return.

The programme looks at characteristics of healthy relations, unhealthy and abusive relationships and identifies early warning signs that a relationship has the potential to become abusive

Learning Outcomes

  • To understand the importance of loving yourself in order to love others
  • To understand the relationships we have with others, what we bring to relationships and whether or not the impact is healthy or unhealthy
  • To learn how to respond to dilemmas, using effective communication with the ability to listen as well as making a point assertively
  • To have a greater understanding of the risks involved in using social media and to appreciate how useful and informative it can also be
  • To understand that relationships are both complex and rewarding and need to be maintained in order to last.
  • To be able to identify through the use of visual exercises the people who complicate the maintenance of relationships and the people who enhance relationships
